Fire Hose
What are fire hoses?
As an extension of a standpipe system, a fire hose can be the difference in the success or failure when fighting a blaze. NFPA 1961 states that fire hoses require an unfurling, visual inspection and re-racking annually. This allows a technician to be sure there are no signs of deterioration or wear on the hose, which could cause it to lack in the delivery of fire fighting agents. As well, a Hydrostatic Test must be completed 5 years after manufacture and every 3 years thereafter.
